As one of the major Blackberry solution providers in Cyprus, Simplex would like to inform its customers running various versions of Blackberry Enterprise Server, Blackberry Enterprise Server Express or the older Blackberry Professional Server that intermittent problems that they may be experiencing since yesterday, 10 October 2011, are not due to problems with their own servers or their handhelds but due to problems with RIM’s network infrastructure, in particular failure of a core switch.   The problem affects not only Cyprus Blackberry users but also, users in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.

Due to the failure, a large backlog of data was generated and RIM is now working to clear the backlog and restore the service’s normal operation as quickly as possible.
