The building in which the Data Centre is located. The data centre is on the 4th floor of the shown building which is located in the heart of Limassol, the international business centre of Cyprus.
The building in which the Data Centre is located (entrance tower).
Row of four (4) branded, industry standard racks (42U/19” wide/1m deep with RETMA rails and square holes). The racks are floor stabilized, bayed with each other and independently grounded.
Front of racks with doors closed. All racks are locked and have perforated doors for maximum airflow.
Front of racks with doors open. All doors and side panels can be easily removed completely for easy equipment installation. Blanking panels used to optimize air-flow.
Rack with servers, storage and network equipment. Rack mounted monitor/keyboard/trackball saves space (only 1U including IP KVM located at its rear) and is available for shared use.
Power and data/CAT6 cabling laid under raised anti-static and fireproof (2hrs) computer flooring in separate trays guaranteeing maximum quality and flexibility.
The CISCO Catalyst 6509, with redundant switches and processors, is responsible for distributing the backbone bandwidth to dedicated customer VLANs. Rear side shown.
The front view of the CISCO Catalyst 6509 through which backbone bandwidth is distributed.
Power breakers located under the raised floor, in corridor in front of racks for easy access. Two independent 1-Phase AC 230V 16A power breakers per rack as standard with industrial type sockets (IEC309). Optional 1-Phase AC 230V 32A or 3-Phase AC 415V 16A/32A.
Two independent, redundant (2N) UPS units provide power and surge protection to each rack. Each UPS is powered from a separate power supply. Hot swappable battery modules guarantee zero downtime during maintenance.
3-circuit monitored Power Distribution Units (PDU), with 13 C13 (10A) sockets per circuit (total 39 sockets per PDU) are responsible for power distribution. Optional C19 (16A) sockets available on each PDU.
A stand-by generator with auto-start guarantees continuous power supply to the Data Centre, in the unlikely event of utility power outage.
Redundant VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm) system with local and remote monitoring on a 24/7 basis. Redundant wired and wireless connectivity ensures prompt response by fire brigade as required. Battery enclosed in fire alarm control panel (shown) guarantees a runtime of 48 hours without mains power.
Fully automatic environmental friendly, non hazardous to human gas-based FirePro (ULC listed) fire suppression system with automatic HVAC cut-off for more efficient suppression. Battery enclosed in fire suppression control panel (shown) provides 48-hour battery independence.
The fire alarm system uses both optical/laser HSSD (high sensitivity smoke detectors) as well as temperature sensors both underneath and above floor. Automatic triggering of fire suppression system only if both types of sensors indicate a fire, thus minimizing the possibility of false triggering and site disruption.
The FirePro gas generator is located inside the false ceiling and uses the latest generation of stable SBK aerosol forming solid compound (containing no pyrotechnic substances such as nitro-guanidine or nitro-cellulose). Upon triggering (automatic or manual) the solid compound is transformed into a rapidly expanding, highly efficient and highly effective fire extinguishing aerosol, based on Potassium salts which will put down any fire within a maximum of 20 seconds. The gas generator has a fail-safe system which allows self-activation at a temperature of 300oC.

Infrared colour cameras cover entry ways and site’s interior providing high quality time lapse video under all light conditions. Video is digitally stored on state-of-the-art DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and recordings are retained for a minimum of 30 days.
A dome camera <i>watching</i> one row of racks.
Multi-zone/multi-level access control with proximity cards and access codes. Full event recording and monitoring for all doors when opening/closing. Access records, door access transactions, incident reports and access requests all indefinitely retained.
Alarm system for all entry ways and motion detectors across all the facility create complex electronic perimeters to detect any intruder. Local and remote monitoring on 24/7 basis with redundant wired and wireless connectivity/signalling and 48-hour self-contained battery protection. Patrol service by external security firm during night hours.
Multiple security sirens around the building and also, internally guarantee that no intruder can go undetected and act as an additional preventive measure.
Fully redundant down-flow HVAC system by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries with environmental friendly R410A refrigerant guaranteeing maximum cooling for all equipment. Room temperature is maintained at 22 ºC (±2 ºC ) with a humidity level of 50% (±10%) and is monitored on a 24/7 basis.
All racks are equipped with fan kits of 6 fans each for hot air extraction.
All Data Centre related equipment, such as cooling equipment, electrical systems, fire control systems and other security equipment, is monitored around the clock. All events are controlled and procedures are in place to react to every possible incident 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all the year round.
Racks' keys are locked in heavy-duty 16-gauge steel cabinet with clutch mechanism that prevents forced entry. Tough and foolproof patented TouchPoint Pushbutton lock provides maximum security and access to authorized personnel only.
Business continuity office space allows resuming fundamental operations within 24hrs after disaster strikes.
The business continuity office space is fully air-conditioned, fully furnished (desks, chairs, etc.) and fully equipped (PCs, phone system, fax, printer, copier, etc.) with private LAN for fast direct access to your servers/data and high speed Internet connectivity.
A 25m2 (approx. 270 sq. ft.) conference room with 8-people conference table, 47” LCD projection screen, white board, conference VoIP phone and A/C is offered as part of the business continuity facility.

In order to ensure that the data centre is always clean and tidy and with minimum human interference we provide a staging area with desks, Internet access and private VLAN access for securely storing and comfortably configuring your equipment before setting it up on the data centre’s racks.
